SCROLL DOWN if you would like to have a sneak-peak into MY OWN faceless (ofcourse) photo gallery of aesthetic pregnant SUMMER outfits (even though it was January, but that weather was definitely summer! ahaha).
Feeling attractive during pregnancy is a very STRONG and COMMON topic, for very obvious reasons!
I mean, with so many changes (physically, hormonally, emotionally…) it can be hard to feel our best, and even just feel like the gorgeous, sexy women we TRULY are.
Personally, I have shared my experience on coping with weight gain during pregnancy, and beauty tips on how to feel attractive when on holiday (applicable to everyday life though)!
But it being hard DOES NOT have to mean we simply accept this reality; NO.
We can try take control of our narrative, by doing something about the way we feel! It won’t always have the most significant impact, but it will have us feeling a lot happier and better, than if we don’t.
In this blog post, I go into the FASHION side of things on how to feel attractive, when on a hot holiday (which I recently went to Egypt; WHAT A DREAM)!
These tips are WHAT I personally did to FEEL SEXIER with my 6-month pregnancy bump, whilst holidaying in sunny Egypt (feel free to use these in your daily life / weekends also!).
setting the tone
: DECIDE to feel hot, sexy, attractive, gorgeous (whichever you prefer)!
Before you click-off, and cancel me right away, I know this isn’t easy and this isn’t the one entirely.
But planting the intention to CHOOSE to want to feel hot pregnant, is HALF OF THE WAY.
Don’t forget that I am also pregnant girlies, so I completely feel your struggles with body confidence and self-confidence!
HOWEVER, we are allowed to want to feel hot and to feel attractive when pregnant!
We just need to consciously DECIDE to do something about it, and adjust to this temporary change in body image, and aesthetic.
This sets the tone for HOW we want to show-up for ourselves, during pregnancy on holiday.
AFTER THAT, it really is all about just:
finding the way to make it happen,
putting in some effort (maybe a bit more than you usually would, when pregnant, since everything is quite new to us!),
and then, enjoying the confidence boost feeling!
And how amazing it feels to FEEL ourselves, am I right?!
You owe it to yourself to go the extra step to make yourself feel attractive, feel beautiful, and feel worthy, specially when you are already going through so much during pregnancy!
It’s the ultimate act of self-LOVE, self-RESPECT and the personification of GIRLHOOD, at its finest!
Now the question becomes HOW do we make that happen for ourselves? MORE SPECIFICALLY:
how do we find the motivation, and energy to make ourselves feel pretty, and feel like we CAN LOOK pretty, whilst pregnant (possibly heavily) and on holiday?
what do we wear to make us feel attractive on holiday pregnant?
That is what I am about to unravel for you, so you don’t even need to spend ANOTHER SECOND wondering…
scavenge hunt for inspo!
I know we hear a lot about “inspo” for fashion, beauty, aesthetics, but it’s WITH reason…
Inspo has us INSPIRED (duh - I know, I know!) and brings to LIFE what we so desire and imagine in our minds.
It allows us pregnant girlies to visualise how HOT we can look, and how hot we should FEEL!
THINK: limitless energy, and abundance!
*Also, having this, really FORCES us to push past any mental blocks we might be experiencing during pregnancy, due to the feelings of lowness, lack of self-confidence when pregnant, and being more emotionally vulnerable AS A RESULT of pregnancy.
I love this term of phrasing what we are about to do here, because after all, this process should create excitement within you, as much as a scavenger hunt would! Some good, old fun ey!
I hope you noticed; I didn’t say “YOU SHOULD FEEL” but instead I said “THIS PROCESS SHOULD CREATE” the feeling of… since it is all about letting yourself be open to feeling the fun and joy from things we are doing.
This helps us gain that MOTIVATION externally!
When pregnant, any kind of internal motivation or energy is a BIG ASK!
So, let’s use what’s around us to help us create that feeling of badass, girl boss, empowerment; EVEN when pregnant.
For that, I am about to reveal TWO ways we can hunt for inspo that ACTUALLY WORKS, and has us girlies going from point A (setting the tone) to point C (making it happen!)
Pinterest moodboard
Create a photo album on your phone for screenshots !
Of course, I can ALSO say: vision boarding, looking at Youtube videos, follow fashion influencers and see what they are wearing, but we want LOW MAINTENANCE, so we don’t get overwhelmed, and completely put-off!
Personally, these TWO WAYS are the ONLY two that really had me actually DOING the thing, and getting the outfits!
1. Check out my PINTEREST BOARD below, pre-Egypt holiday, as proof!
I created one Pinterest board (EACH) for:
THIS STEP is what got me feeling HOPE:
“Oh… I could look cute like that! Oh, I LOVE that dress, it actually looks quite fit, even with the bump!…”
Specially if you don’t know what style to go for when pregnant, Pinterest allows you to explore that WITHOUT having to spend the money first!
Also, Pinterest is always about the aesthetic, so regardless you can always count on that platform to give what it needs to; to have us feeling our best, most stylish selves, whilst on holiday pregnant!
2. Phone photo album!
THIS ONE.
I can’t tell you how many times I have scrolled through Instagram Tiktok, clothing stores online, and have seen a super cute or HOT outfit that suits our pregnant bumps, and I SCREENSHOTTED IT!
What a gamechanger!
I tried relying on the “saved” collections you can create on Instagram, or Tiktok, but I just never check those…
But photo albums? Yeah I check those!
I’m constantly taking photos and videos, as an aesthetic-addicted girlie I am! ahaha.
Simply having a photo album, on your phone, called “pregnant fashion aesthetic”; is like having your very own virtual vanity closet of outfits waiting for you to make it real! (in other words, ordering and wearing!).
It’s like another version of Pinterest boarding, BUT instead it’s a collation of ALL images across my time on my phone that I like and think is WORTH me actually checking out online.
♡
FOR ME, after using both ways to hunt for inspo on pregnancy fashion and aesthetic, I found myself feeling a lot more excited in the process, and LOOKING FORWARD to my holiday even more!
Since, the last thing I wanted (and would dread!) is feeling bad about myself, or pregnant body image, whilst trying to enjoy a super dreamy hot holiday (my last travel abroad BEFORE baby arrives too; a babymoon if you will!).
To some, it may sound useless or just another “girly stance” that will do nothing.
But that is WRONG.
Hunting for inspo, before my pregnant holiday, got me feeling like:
IT WAS POSSIBLE to feel hot during pregnancy… which is where we want to be at. We want to ALLOW ourselves the permission to feel hot, and do things that make us feel this way, and breakthrough any stereotypes we may have…
IT GAVE ME ENERGY, rather than take-away from my energy. Engaging in these activities allowed me to feel like MYSELF (a girly girl who loves an aesthetic and a good fit) which got me into a flow state that DIDN’T rely on me having to GIVE anything, but rather CREATED that feeling of motivation, energy and excitement within me (as I said it would, earlier on!).
IT GOT ME OUT OF MY OWN WAY, which I think was the most important take on all this! It got me feeling like I was stepping out of any limiting beliefs, any hormonal influences from pregnancy, any low vibrational feelings that weren’t going to help me in any way!
If nothing else, seeking this inspo can simply have you asking yourself:
“if other pregnant girlies can feel and look THAT hot pregnant, why can’t I?”
what to wear
OKAY, so we have set our intentions, as a form of retaking our control over our narrative: how we feel in pregnancy, and have gathered some inspo; to have us feeling excited about our outfits, on holiday pregnant…
Let’s get into what to wear on a holiday pregnant!
These are all my personal preferences, but I would say MOST girlies would find these options quite AESTHETIC, or at least, COMFORTABLE, for a holiday pregnant, when you have a BUMP that’s bumping!
For me, I find these options the best of both!
SO, in terms of what to wear, I would go for:
midi bodycon dresses
midi bodycon skirts with a crop top
flowy, elasticated-waistband trousers with crop top or shirt, over the top
Honestly, that’s the literal wardrobe capsule that I would have (and did have) on-repeat!
It’s:
effortless: slipping into a dress is super easy, quick and low maintenance (vs jeans with multiple layers of top, shirt, cardigan)
sexy, elegant and sleek (EXACTLY what I was going for, personally) which is the ULTIMATE BEST WAY to have you feeling hot and sexy. Bump in a bodycon is not UNsexy whatsoever!
long: so you don’t need to worry about anything short riding up, or flashing anyone!
body-fitting: so you don’t need to worry about flashing anyone if it’s windy. Also showing your curves is the best way to OWN your pregnant body, even if you’re not feeling it too much. Going for loose-fitting dresses can sometimes make you look bigger or not as flattering, depending on the shape.
I was one to fall into the trap of wondering “aren’t bodycon dresses for when I am NOT pregnant, and have a small waist?” WELL, NO.
NOT.
AT.
ALL.
Continue sticking to what you find attractive in fashion, and know you will look different (of course, with a bump) BUT you can feel glowy and confident that your bump is a pregnancy bump, and not anything else!
This is exactly how I felt!
At 6 months, my bump was quite visible and obvious, and so my bump just made me look pregnant!
Sticking to styles I loved, made me TAP-INTO my feminine, soft and luxurious energy which had me feeling MYSELF again!
My pregnant holiday was an all-inclusive resort-kind, so my outfits were mostly chosen around dinners, and being poolside. So, I did:
Dresses/skirts for dinner : I would doll-up and have a whole getting-ready session, after tanning the whole day (WHAT A THRIVING FEELING).
Flowy trousers and crop top or shirt for going to the beach, pool or grabbing breakfast/lunch in-between tanning!
Of course, adapt these tips to your own unique sexy style!
BUT I want to show you, through my own experience, that it is POSSIBLE and you SHOULD try to make yourself feel like the sexy, attractive and gorgeous woman you are; pregnant or not!
We might just need to do some more digging for inspo, outfits, or seeing what makes us feel good, but it’s ALL WORTH IT in the end, I promise!
Let me be your living proof of it!
look into my photo gallery!
Now, that we have gone through absolutely EVERYTHING to have you feeling your most highest, bestest, and sexiest, self; let’s get into my own personal photo gallery so you can see how I INCORPORATED all these tips and brought them to life myself, in my hot holiday at 6 months pregnant!
This whole process of immersing myself into my girlhood, into my femininity, into the aesthetics and beauty, really had me feeling SUPER SEXY, attractive, girly, and like the empowered woman I AM.
FYI: ALL of my outfits and accessories were from SHEIN! It was an absolute LIFESAVER! I am all for the high-quality, and higher-priced brands like Skims, and TALA, but I needed a bunch of outfits ON A BUDGET, and I MUST SAY everything I got from Shein was SPOT. ON; looked good, wasn’t see-through, fit comfortably, sizing was good (I sized up to a M, and found it to be perfect size for my pregnant body), and fulfilled my aesthetic girlie queen vision for my holiday pregnant!
