We don’t gatekeep here, and this is EXACTLY WHAT I AM DOING to achieve blog monetisation as my ultimate 2025 blogging goal.

We’re going to talk about the KEY behind the success of achieving the goals you set, relative to blog monetisation, and I’ll be giving you ALL the tools to make sure you get there.

I will briefly give you ways you can make money from blogging, share insight into blogging smarter (vs harder) given where you are at in blogging and in life, the EXACT thing you need to do to make sure you ACTUALLY achieve your goal, a basic technique to set you up for success in this journey, and a bonus-tip on vision boarding!

We are really peeling-off all the layers to this commonly intimidating idea we have of reaching such high heights with our blog, with a timeframe, but just remember, we all started from 0.

QUICK CONTEXT: I launched this blog of mine in April 2024, all on my own as a complete beginner and NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE of what blogging was or how to do it, know no one else who blogs, but was dedicated to committing after my many failed attempts at experimenting with different online businesses. To my surprise, I fell in LOVE with blogging! The end-goal, for me, was always to monetise and make my Blog an online business that would sustain me, have me quit my 9-to-5, and have me live a life of financial (and TIME) freedom. IN the process, I have learnt a lot about blogging, but also myself! 1-year into my blog, and I am ready to take my blog strategy even more SERIOUSLY, this time with the specific goal to monetise in 2025!

In a separate blog post, I have laid out how I WILL MONETISE my blog for my SPECIFIC blogging goal for 2025, and in this one, I breakdown how YOU can find your specific blog monetisation goal and KNOW what to do to achieve blog monetisation in 2025.

SKIP to chapter “get specific”, if you want to get straight into it (I lay out some valuable advice before then for any beginner blogger girlies, as I recently was too)!

are you ready?

Before heading into ALL THE JUICE I have for you, on this one, I just wanted to shortly start with a grounding reminder or pep-talk, if you will!

The point: so you can see whether you have the capacity (currently) to embrace the next LEVEL-UP of working on blog monetisation.

Of course, the moment you start blogging and putting content out there, you ARE automatically already working towards blog monetisation through having people naturally seeing your Blog, and getting ranked by Google over-time, but I mean, actually TRYING to get monetised.

This isn’t to de-motivate you, but to avoid you wasting time or running around your blog business like a headless hen, as I have in the past! ahaha (basically running in all directions, trying to do everything, but actually heading nowhere).

It gets to a point in our blogging journeys, that we have now found our feet with blogging; we have launched, we have some sort of blogging routine going, we know what type of content our blogs are about (or content pillars), and we are ready to look ahead and see HOW we can LEVEL-UP our blogs as the online business we want it to be for us (and a profitable one!).

NO matter how willing and driven you are to make your blog a successful online business, you DO need to take it step-by-step because we don’t have limitless time, energy or focus. So, don’t be too harsh on yourself or unrealistic with your blogging goals, trying to do everything at-once, or monetise straight away when you don’t even know the BASICS! Unless you DO have all the free-time in the world, then girl you go for it!

But personally, working 9-to-5, trying to enjoy balance in life as a girlie in my 20s, and now being pregnant, there’s a lot to juggle, so if you are only launching your blog (of course, have a look and be mindful of where you can take your blog, but) be invested at the stage you are in!

Once you find your feet with blogging, then you can move-on, is my personal advice! It takes a little patience, but it’s worth it, I promise! Also, if anything, time will pass anyway, and you WILL get there!

THAT is the point at which I personally am at, and feel like I have MORE mental capacity and energy to dive-into this next stage of my blogging journey, as a beginner, doing it all on my own.

More specifically, start of 2025 was my prime time to get head-in to my blog with the tunnel vision of monetisation, by the end of it!

This question is mostly to have you look at the bigger picture of your:

  • blogging stage

  • circumstances (such as time availability, what you “have on your plate” at the moment)

And allow this to inform you on how “ready” you are to take-on the next step of learning and working towards blog monetisation, more INTENTIONALLY.

Of course we are ALWAYS READY to start earning some money form our blogs, but it takes self-control to make the smart choice of:

  1. evaluating where you are at

  2. to then maximise your energy and give it your ALL

  3. have a clear sequence of steps solidified for your blog to grow sustainably and professionally

  4. as a result, constantly elevating your blog, yourself

And get one blog post closer to the day you finally make money from your Blog.

ways to make money blogging

First thing’s first, let me give you a few (of many!) ways you can monetise your blog, in case you are starting with NO IDEA.

I could assume we all want to make money online from ads or affiliate marketing on our Blogs, but that is not the ONLY way. And given how unique and different we all are, we might want to go down different paths and that’s fine, EXCITING even!

We all have something special to offer, and that can be seen through the multitude of ways we can make money blogging, and how we diversify our blogs to reflect that!

However, if you’re blogging without wanting, or intending, to make money from it, that’s okay too! This is just for the girlies who don’t want to spend their lives working at their 9-to-5, and want to pursue a career in something they’re passionate about. FOR ME, that’s blogging here at in her Full Effect, and creating a super cool and amazing, supportive community of like-minded girlies!

SO, a few ways you could monetise your blog are by:

In future, I will make a separate blog post going deeper into each type of blog monetisation strategy, but this list serves as a brief guide to help you navigate WHERE you may want to take your blog, with monetisation.

get specific

“do this to achieve blog monetisation in 2025”, is the title you saw. My straight-forward answer: GET. SPECIFIC.

I’m serious.

Sounds easy enough, right?

Take me as an EXAMPLE, as mentioned, my blogging goal for 2025 is to monetise my blog, and the way I aim to do this is by displaying ads on the blog, by working with Mediavine, once I hit 50,000 sessions on my blog and become approved, to pay me for these ads. I will reach these eligibility stats by focusing on quality, long-form content (more than 1250 words per post), consistency (1 post EVERY week), and going heavy on the SEO.

If you notice, I give you the EXACT:

  1. WAY I will monetise my blog: displaying ads (via Mediavine)

  2. what I NEED to achieve this goal (50,000 sessions - more on this here)

  3. HOW I will get there

In other words, I was SPECIFIC.

What this does, is it doesn’t give my mind the OPPORTUNITY to even try and get distracted. Because, TRUST ME! You can get so easily swayed by all the swarms of strategies of “make money blogging like this” kind-of posts you see online, but you need to focus on ONE way, and stick to it.

You need to have a clear vision, and path outlined for yourself, to ensure to ACTUALLY achieve your blogging goal!

You might feel super tempted to start putting affiliate links everywhere, writing 24/7 so you have content for days, emailing brands, and doing all sorts at the same time… and I’m not saying this won’t work.

BUT you need to work from the foundation-up.

  • writing blog content 24/7 will not be sustainable, or fun, for you so you might fall-off this way (having a schedule is a smarter choice to set yourself up for success)

  • putting affiliate links everywhere might work, but are they relevant to your audience? and how are you getting your blog posts out there for people to see? do you have a social media page to promote your blog, or an SEO strategy?

  • emailing brands might also work, but have you built enough of an authority on Google? do you have a solid amount of quality blog posts on your blog, to back you, when you reach-out to brands?

You need to THINK about these things.

Working smarter would be to work the foundation-up, and pick ONE way of making money blogging, to make sure you are doing things as best as you can.

Until you sit down, you won’t realise how hard it can actually be to focus, strategise, and plan. SPECIALLY, when the dopamine hit is strong with goal-setting (as it most-likely is with all us girlies, imagining our dream lives come into fruition!).

Trust me, I’ve been there and still am sometimes, but you have to sit down and really force yourself to focus in one ONE way of monetising, researching WHAT you need to reach that eligibility, and establishing HOW you will get there.

It takes a next-level form of self-discipline to really get to grips with how your blog can really grow into something BEAUTIFUL, that can get you monetised, and living life as your own BOSS.

Therefore, the basic FORMULA to successfully achieving blog monetisation in 2025 is: specifically knowing WHAT the monetisation goal is, and HOW you will get there.

work in-reverse

You know WHAT your blog monetisation goal is (ads, affiliate commissions, selling products), now we need to know HOW to get there.

For that, we need to work in-reverse.

This is all about reverse goal-setting.

I’m not just going to give you some ways you can monetise your blog, tell you to be specific about your goals, and then leave you to it.

What kind of gal-pal would I be to you, as a fellow blogger girlie myself?

No, I am here to outline you the PRECISE path for you to monetise your blog, along with me, this year of 2025, so we can all achieve our dreams together!

In order to be precise, we need to have a strategy to GET TO OUR GOAL, or in other words, a step-by-step.

It’s easier to work from the goal backwards, so here’s your how-to for this:

  1. what’s your goal: what’s your ONE blog monetisation goal?

  2. what do you need to get there: do you need specific stats to be eligible for an ad agency to approve you? or to apply and be approved by affiliate programs? or to perhaps, create your products to sell?

  3. what are the WAYS you can get to your goal: explore and research different ways you can get to your destination; maybe it’s learning more about SEO, exploring different affiliate programs and what programs would be the best fit for your audience and content-type, or product research for what you want to offer.

EXAMPLE DEMONSTRATION, for me:

  1. goal: make money from display ads by being approved by Mediavine (my personal choice - I go into it more HERE)

  2. needs: hitting 50000 sessions on my blog, as per Google Analytics’ measure (established by Mediavine on their website)

  3. the way: my decision is to evolve my SEO to the best method possible to rank as highly as possible on Google, as my main focus (plus, maintaining my Pinterest growth in outbound clicks and views)

Therefore, I will know that the FURTHER breakdown to the steps in my personal blog monetisation strategy will be to:

  • focus on SEO LEARNING and self-development (from other bloggers, Youtube videos, reading books, online courses)

Of course, I could have gone down other routes, like opening different types of social media (Instagram , Tiktok, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook - you name it!)., but in case you want to achieve the same form of monetisation as me, the REASON why I didn’t is because from my research, I have seen that NOT ALL social medias can be successful in getting people to click-off the platform, to go onto your blog.

So, TO ME, it didn’t feel like it was going to maximise my chances of hitting that 50, 000 session target, since the whole way of increasing my sessions is by having people ACTUALLY reading my blog content, and enjoying it (which wouldn’t be the SMARTEST choice for my TIME availability).

You can then take it even further, if you want, and set a monthly mini-target; of, for example, in January I will learn what SEO is, in February I will learn what other successful bloggers do for SEO, in March I will do a free course on Youtube to know how SEO can increase my sessions… and so on!

When you work in-reverse from your goal, you create a clear and simple step-by-step path to success; where you have now deconstructed EXACTLY HOW you will achieve blog monetisation, in the way you set-out to, in 2025, and ALL you need to-do now is follow it!

It takes all the guess-work out, throughout the year, when other priorities or life-events will inevitably take-up space in your mind and schedule!

Being prepared to this degree of detail will keep you accountable and resistant to ANY possibility of you being thrown-off your course to achieve what you set-out to!

BONUS: vision board tip

You now have WHAT your monetisation goal with blogging is, HOW you will get there, and you have this all set for yourself in a specific and clear view, to keep you as focused and on-track, throughout 2025, as possible!

I have now given you all the tools, and the speciifc formula for how I, MYSELF, will achieve my own blog monetisation goal in 2025.

Now, this one is an extra bonus tip for the girlies who vision board (which I’d assume is most of us, but nonetheless no judgement here girlie!). If you don’t vision board, you are all good-to-go!

I HAVE A WHOLE SEPARATE BLOG POST on 2 vision board hacks to make sure you make come true you put on your vision board, but this tip is specifically for your blog monetisation goal:

  • GATHER A FEW IMAGES on the SPECIFICS you have discovered through the strategy you have created yourself, from this post.

Here’s what it looks like, on my personal vision board, that I have UP for 2025:

my personal vision board for 2025, how to vision board, how to vision board to make dreams a reality, how to vision board to achieve goals 2025

Having the SPECIFIC images of your goal, rather than more-general photos of money and laptops (which I mean still cute, but we want to do everything possible to achieve our goal) will have you constantly reminded of what targets you need to hit, and are working towards in your year!

Having this displayed works as a VISUAL TARGET that will HELP YOU not get distracted and keep your vision CLEAR of the direction you are sticking to in 2025.

I will still put in a photo, or two, of money or the blogging lifestyle aspect (like a cute aesthetic of working on a laptop, in a café) but I’ll keep it as a minimum.

We are maximising via all avenues possible to transform our goals into reality, and vision boarding is a personal fave of mine; to have me subconsciously reminded of my goals, even when I am just relaxing, and not necessarily on my blogging-grind!

THAT’S IT FROM ME! A jam-packed one on HOW TO ACTUALLY achieve your blog monetisation goal in 2025, by keeping it simple, and thorough.

It’s easier than you think it is; with some self-discipline, strategising and clarity in the steps necessary, you will have the EXACT process all laid out for you.

Then, you just have to keep it going, which is a whole other story for another day (!), but you got this! At least you will have direction, and know WHERE to go with your blog to align with your ultimate goal of monetisation.

Keep reminding yourself of why you are doing what you are doing, and take it day-by-day, whilst remaining respectful of your own needs and capacity (tips for this in my blog post here in achieving this particular balance).

Own your Womanhood. Own your Time.

I’ll be logging updates throughout this whole journey as a mother-to-be, working to be an entrepreneur, but to also still preserve the girlhood within, to try and be her best self, and live her happiest life, so keep-up with me through the blog!

I release a new blog post every Friday at 1pm! (UK-time)

Let me know if you’re in a similar headspace (pregnant or not), being in our 20s is confusing, and taking control of our story is the only way we can take ownership of our happiness and live out our dream life.

I document my unwanted pregnancy journey at 25, taking control of my narrative, figuring out being a girl in my 20s, chasing my dream life, and conquering my boss babe dream of becoming a self-employed, entrepreneur / Blogger!
